About the Course

This one day Assistant Lifesaving Instructor Award provides the opportunity for those young lifesavers who would like to assist with the training of Lifesaving and Life Support Awards and gain an initial training support award.

Pre-Requisites

The award is aimed for lifesavers aged 14 years and over and it is a great opportunity for them to develop fundamental teaching

For most young lifesavers the Assistant Lifesaving Instructor Award will be their first step onto the Lifesaving teaching pathway

Active Participation 

  • Achieve Life Support 3
  • Instructor activities including:
  • games and fun activities
  • water safety theory
  • Life Support
  • Lifesaving stokes and leg kicks

Numbers

A maximum of 12 students can be accommodated on this course per trainer.
Individual cost will £79 per person. This cost will include all equipment, Rookie Instructor Candidate Packs and RLSS IQL certificates
